LTD Details
Our favorite features of our 1975 Ford LTD Country Squire

Instrument_panel.JPG (17530 bytes)

Instrument panel

All you really need: how fast am I going, and how much gas do I have left. Underscored by a dainty row of idiot lights whose labels have faded to the point of being no longer legible.

LTD_dash_with_original_radio.JPG (22931 bytes) The Time, Air, and Music cluster

The clock deserves special mention -- it's an electric clock, like you used to have at your bedside before LED's were invented. The little dial for setting the clock is like a miniature circular saw, it strips the skin off your fingers as you try to set the clock forward or backward!

Original_Aeronutronic_radio.JPG (17265 bytes)

The "Aeronutronic" AM/FM stereo radio

You've got AM, you've got FM. What else do you need? Includes radio buttons, real radio buttons: to set a button to a station, you need to pull the button out, then push it in.

Don't let the "Stereo" switch fool you -- there's only one speaker up front.

Vanity_mirror.JPG (19039 bytes) Vanity mirror

Remember when True Luxury meant Hi and Lo settings on the passenger-side vanity mirror?

Ceiling Lighting Unit

A very mod-looking chrome unit with three very powerful bulbs. Leave them all on for a few minutes and the casing gets hot enough to burn your fingers!
